Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) announced the creation of a YouTube video series titled, “Online Seoul Life,” so that foreigners who cannot visit Korea amid the COVID-19 situation can indirectly experience what life in Seoul is like.
The series, which is composed of four episodes, will be led by Alberto and Lucky, the popular television personalities who were featured in the JTBC talk show, “Non-Summit,” who will go around and introduce places in Seoul. They will solve quizzes or perform missions at each location and compete to become the final winner.
Alberto and Lucky’s “Online Seoul Life” will be shared every Monday at 5:00 p.m. from October 26 to November 16 through the SMG’s official English YouTube channel. The cast will converse in Korean, but English subtitles will be provided for viewers from overseas.
The SMG intends to promote the fact that we can safely enjoy our free time in Seoul while practicing social distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The videos were also shot while strictly following the disinfection and prevention measures.
The four videos naturally expose the unique policies of Seoul, including the Excellent Hanok Certification, smart transportation system, Sewoon Again Project, and Ttareungi (Seoul Public Bicycle).
