    SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, March 22, 2021 – The 2021 F/W Seoul Fashion Week will take place online for six days from March 22 to 27. The opening ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. on March 22 (KST) with the performance “Tiger Is Coming” by the popular alternative pop band “Leenalchi” at the background of the National Museum of Korea.

    The 2021 Seoul Fashion Week’s runways were all pre-filmed from March 7 to 15 at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the National Museum of Korea, Oil Tank Culture Park, Hangang Parks, etc. The films will be livestreamed firstly on the Seoul Fashion Week’s website, Naver TV, and YouTube, and then available at V LIVE, tvND, tvN Asia, and TVING so that they can be seen globally.

    One thing to remember for this season’s Seoul Fashion Week is that you may enjoy the fashion shows with entertaining fun presented by locations the runways were filmed. For instance, you can see the Gyeongcheonsa Pagoda (National Treasure No. 86) and Gilt-bronze Pensive Bodhisattva (National Treasure No. 83), at the runway at the National Museum of Korea. You will have a chance to see artworks of famous artists Lee Seung-Taek and Haegue Yang during the runway at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

    For those who would like to purchase designer’s clothes from the fashion shows, “Live Commerce” shows will also be held a total of ten times during the Week, where citizens can buy 53 brands of this season products up to 40% off. The Live Commerce shows can be seen at Naver Shopping Live every 7 p.m. (KST) from March 29 to April 9.

So, the Seoul Metropolitan Government presents the 2021 F/W Seoul Fashion Week digitally to make the current crisis a new opportunity for revitalizing the domestic fashion industry. For this, we combine K-Fashion with K-Culture.” He added, “Through the Seoul Fashion Week, we would like to showcase the best Korean beauty. We also expect it can provide the Korean fashion industry with an opportunity to expand its market to the world.”
