Seoul’s annual and very colorful lantern festival was held from November 6 to 22 along Cheonggyecheon Stream in downtown Seoul, running for over one kilometer from Cheonggye Plaza to Supyogyo Bridge. 2015 SEOUL LANTERN FESTIVAL featured lanterns based on four main themes: Antique Beauty in Seoul, Past Lives Met in Seoul, Seoul Today, and Together, Seoul. Also, visitors were encouraged to participate in the festivities by creating their own floating or hanging lanterns. One of the city’s most popular annual festivals, the Seoul Lantern Festival is a great way to spend an autumn evening in central Seoul while taking in the vibrant atmosphere alongside the natural beauty of the Cheonggyecheon Stream.
