Korean culture & Tip

Traditionally, Koreans lived in sitting positions on the floor and thus the traditional way of greeting is making a bow in a sitting position. If we meet elders in the corridor, we may bend our back folding hands instead of formal bow. But if it becomes possible later, we bow to elders again inside the room to show our respect according to tradition. Between friends or close relationship, a slight bow will do.
